This question type records participant reactions, typically at a once per second interval, in response to a continuous type of stimuli. This is most often used to test television ads, TV pilots, debates, live presentations, and other video or audio programs. The data is collected and plotted as a line-graph, which can be super-imposed over the test material. A 0 to 100 or 0 to 10 point scale is used for the respondent evaluation. Up to 4 subsets can be seen on-screen. If subsets are used, the graph shows a line for the total sample and a color coded line for each subset. The data displayed can show the N, the cumulative mean, and the mean ratings at that current second for the total and the subsets. Also available is a histogram which shows where the dials are set during the reading. For instance, 10% of the dials in the 90 to 100 range, 5% in the 80 to 90 range, etc.
